Spice it up

As you know, we are not your normal traditional couple.
Of course I love flowers and chocolates, etc, but i could care less if i received them for some hallmark holiday
So, in leiu of valentines, but not for
I planned an awsome date night to spice things up.
I got the idea and really researching it two days ago, yeah not much time in that dept.

Well, I pulled it off.
I knew I wanted to do something fun and romantic and quirky.
So I decided on a scavenger hunt.

I used some inspiration from Jamie at C.R.A.F.T. and this post.

I decided on doing a clue for every year we had been together and to reflect our relationship

2 were in the house, 1 was with me at the final destination and the 5 were scattered all over our city

clue #1 leading to the bathroom & clue #5 leading to a park that he dropped me off at when we first got here and i got so lost coming home, there are two entrances therefore the parentheses

Clue #2 which was in the bathroom and led to our friends that live on California st
Clue #6 which led to our bffs house

Clue #3 which led to the local airport
Clue #7 led to him to me at the restaurant

Clue #4 which led to the starbucks i worked at for 2 1/2 years
clue #8 (its sappy, i know) the end.

This was one of the first clue i set up.

Well after I left this place, the local airport, i figured out i left the wrong clue with the wrong balloon (because they were color coordinated). I was already at starbucks dropping off that clue and went to the grocery store to pick up flowers for him, and WHAT HAPPENS?
HE WAS THERE.. picking up flowers for me.. ugh. plans ruined, i am freaking out because not everything is set up and what am i going to do.
Of course, NOBODY is picking up there phones and i am in deep panic.

To make this work i could not give him the clues or be home at the same time
So i had to re replace the above clue and figure out a plan B.
I did, i met a friend at the park and she was able to go to my house give him the clues and leave, which worked out perfectly because i placed my last clue got the flowers i had left and came back for, went home got ready (he was already gone) able to check a few locations to see where he may be, than go to the restaurant. I was early for our reservations, which was planned, and he got there about 10 mins after me, but the place did not have a table ready yet, bummer.
Oh Well.
Thinks worked out great and HE LOVED IT!!!
I am so glad i did it and it was a lot of fun for both of us.
Although, i ran into a lot of flaws I don't think it could have turned out any better.

these are the flowers he got me =)

his only complaints were the clues were too easy and the airport was out of the way from everything else, but there was nothing i could do about the latter because it had to be included.
As for the clues, i didn't want him not to get them

anything fun and romantic planned for v-day?
